Lawsuit: A legal action started in a court of law between two private parties or businesses or organizations or institutions.
Lawyer: A qualified professional advisor on legal matters who can represent clients in court or outside of court.
Legislation: A law or laws passed by an official body such as the Parliament of Canada or the Provincial Legislatures.
Libel: A false and malicious published statement that damages somebody’s reputation. Libel can include pictures and any other representations that have public or permanent form.
Litigant: A party in a lawsuit.
